Victoria Park Medical Centre
Victoria Park Medical Centre is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art building with all the facilities on one level, within the Victoria & Newtown area of Bridgwater, and is adjacent to the community centre. Next door is a new branch of Lloyds Pharmacy. On request the pharmacy will collect prescriptions from the medical centre and have them ready for collection. The centre has Doctors, Nurse Practitioner, Practice Nurses, District Nurses, Midwife, Health Visitor, Counsellor and Dietician. Visit medical centre website.

Victoria Park Children's Centre
Victoria Park Children's Centre provides a day nursery and a variety of courses and drop-in support groups for parents, carers and their families. The facilities include a main play area for pre-school children which includes a sensory room, kitchen and toilet facilities; and a main play area for children aged under two which includes a sleep room, kitchen and nappy changing facilities. Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service
Bob Telfer is the Community Fire Safety Officer from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service. One of Bob’s roles is to encourage residents to take up the offer of a Home Safety Check. Home-Start Bridgwater
We recruit and train volunteers to help families with young children. Our volunteers who know about being a parent, support other parents by visiting them in their own homes for a couple of hours each week. All kinds of families can find it hard to cope for all sorts of reasons, maybe because of illness or disability of a child or because of post-natal illness, bereavement or loneliness. At Home-Start we support any parent with at least one child under five. Our supported families like our volunteers, come from all walks of life. Counselling Service for Victims of Sexual Assault
Free specialist counselling service to men, women and young people age of 14+ who live in the Avon and Somerset area who have experienced sexual abuse or sexual assault, either within the past 12 months and/or anyone who is a complainant in a current sexual assault trial. We offer up to ten counselling sessions every Wednesday 9.30am to 4.30pm.
Victims may self-refer by calling the Bridge direct or fill in an online referral form on the Bridge website. Professionals may also refer a victim (with the clients consent) by calling the Bridge. Referrals are taken by one of the clinical team or a crisis worker. Tel: 0117 342 6999
