Launch of the new "Cafe on the Park" and Public WIFI in Victoria Park Community Centre, Bridgwater

People living in and around the Victoria Park area of Bridgwater have a friendly and inexpensive venue to rest, chat and meet with friends and neighbours, whilst enjoying a delicious tea, coffee, cake or snack.

Our modern, bright community cafe was initially opened by the former Mayor of Bridgwater, Councillor Graham Granter in April 2009.

The café name which won most public support was “Café on the Park” - which seems just right as customers look out through the cafe’s large picture window into the tranquility of the Victoria Park.

The café is now open from 9.30am until 3.30pm [Monday to Friday] and Saturdays 9.00am until 1.00pm serving a range of refreshments, hot and cold snacks at affordable prices. The café is run by Debbie Howe supported by her Husband Gary and Sister Gena.

November 17th 2010 saw the launch of our Public WIFI which is a great asset to the Centre and the community. The 30 minute WIFI sessions are free with a purchase from our cafe.
