Movie & Monster Madness!
We had a fantastic time hosting Movie & Monster Con over the Bank Holiday weekend. It was a sucessful convention that brought people together to meet stars of shows such as Game of Thrones and Star Wars, and also a safe space to share time with like minded people! The whole event had a community vibe and some positive stories of how the wider outcomes of conventions support people’s everyday lives, creates communities and build friendships.
A load of Handsome Stags! Thank you to the lovely bunch of painters that joined us and True To Your Art for our painting afternoon last weekend they looked FANTASTIC! There’s one more paint session for 2026 and it will be Christmas themed.
Apprenticeships, Awards and Work Experience
Emma our cafe team member completed her Level 3 Hospitality Supervisor apprenticeship with a Distinction! We are so proud of Emma and the hardwork she put in.
We were very proud to be nominated, for the Weston College Work Experience Partnership Award this year. Laura and Toby (our nominee) went along to the awards ceremony and we were selected as the winners!!

Welcome Tobey, an adult learner from Bridgwater College! Tobey started work experince with us and will continue as a valuble volunteer for our over 55’s Lunch Club!
